OMNIPRESENCE
Omnipresence is a six-photo series by Alexis Kiedaisch that explores the disorienting space between bliss and unease, where moments of overwhelming beauty coexist with the unsettling awareness that something is not quite right.

Photographed at the Great Salt Lake in Utah, the series reflects an attempt to be entirely present. To feel everything, all at once. Light, color, movement, and atmosphere become heightened, transforming the familiar landscape into something new and unusual. Through experimental photographic techniques, reality begins to shift. Time feels suspended, perspectives become distorted, and the boundaries between what is seen and what is felt begin to dissolve.

Yet beneath this sensory euphoria exists an underlying tension. The Great Salt Lake is a place of extraordinary beauty, but also one of environmental fragility. As climate change and human activity threaten its future, the landscape becomes a paradox: breathtaking and deteriorating, vibrant and vulnerable. There is a strange discomfort in finding joy within a place that is quietly disappearing.

Omnipresence exists within this contradiction. It is about the overwhelming sensation of being alive in a particular moment, while recognizing the instability of the world surrounding it. The images invite viewers to linger in that uncertainty, questioning whether the distortions they encounter are expressions of wonder, disorientation, or a subtle warning that something is wrong.

Ultimately, the series considers what it means to be fully present in a world that is constantly changing and what happens when beauty becomes inseparable from the fear of losing it.
